Anne Beaulieu has an enduring interest in visual culture and virtual ethnography, and has worked in several interdisciplinary fields, developing and pursuing research programmes on the digital turn in scientific research and the humanities at the KNAW. Recently, she has led university-wide projects at the University of Groningen, working across faculties and with a variety of stakeholders in and outside the university. Among her most highly-regarded achievements are contributions to digital research methods, conceptual work in visual culture and science and technology studies, and the creation of innovative interdisciplinary projects such as Energysense and the Groningen Energy Summer School for PhDs.
